同志们、市民朋友们：

Dear Comrades, Fellow Citizens and Friends:

新年伊始，万象更新。在这辞旧迎新的美好时刻，我谨代表长宁区人民政府，向全区人民致以新年的祝福！向所有关心支持长宁发展的海内外朋友，致以诚挚的问候！

With the beginning of the New Year, everything takes on a new look. At this beautiful moment of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, I, on behalf of the Changning District People’s Government, extend my New Year’s greetings to the people of Changning and best wishes to all our friends from home and abroad who care about and support the development of Changning.

刚刚过去的2023年，是极不平凡而又令人难忘的一年。这一年，我们在市委、市政府和区委的坚强领导下，全心投入三年新冠疫情防控转段后经济恢复发展，大家付出了加倍的努力，也收获了可喜的成绩。

The year 2023, which has just passed, was extremely extraordinary and unforgettable. In the past year, under the strong leadership of the municipal Party committee, the municipal government and the district Party committee, we devoted ourselves to the economic recovery and development after the three years of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control put a stop. We redoubled our efforts and achieved gratifying results.

回顾这一年，区域经济迈上了新台阶，全年GDP和区级一般公共预算收入双双突破历史最高点，经济发展质量效益进一步提升。改革创新取得了新突破，我区成功创建为全国首批、全市唯一的网络市场监管与服务示范区，获评全国科普示范区和首轮创新驱动示范区。

Looking back on the past year, the regional economy reached a new level, with both the gross domestic product and district level general public budget revenue breaking historical highs, and the quality and efficiency of economic development further improving.

New breakthroughs were made in reform and innovation. Our district was the only one of its kind in the city that was successfully established as one of the first batch of online market regulation and service demonstration zones throughout the country. It was also rated as a national popular science demonstration zone and an innovation-driven demonstration zone in the first round.

城区环境展现了新面貌，美丽街区实现街镇全覆盖，百年愚园路、武夷路分别获评国家、市级旅游休闲街区，群众又多了一批“家门口的好去处”。民生福祉实现了新进展，“15分钟社区美好生活圈”行动全面推进，精品小区、加装电梯等16项为民办实事项目如期完成，公共服务优质均衡水平不断提高。

The urban environment showed a new look, with beautiful neighborhoods achieving full coverage of nine communities and one town. The century-old Yuyuan Road and Wuyi Road were rated as national and municipal tourism and leisure neighborhood respectively, adding another batch of “good places at doorstep” for the public.

New progress was made in people’s wellbeing, and the “15-minute beautiful community life circle” program was comprehensively promoted. A total of 16 programs for the people, including community of excellence and the installation of elevators in multiple floor old buildings, were completed as scheduled, and the quality and balance of public services were continuously improved.

拼搏成就过去，奋斗铸就未来。2024年是新中国成立75周年，也是实施“十四五”规划的攻坚之年。我们将深入学习贯彻习近平总书记重要讲话精神，在主动服务大局中彰显长宁特色，在抢抓发展机遇中构筑长宁优势，加快建设具有世界影响力的国际精品城区。

Strive to achieve the past and forge the future. The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and is a crucial year for implementing the “14th Five-Year Plan.”

We will deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, demonstrate Changning’s characteristics in actively serving the overall situation, build Changning’s advantages in seizing development opportunities, and accelerate the construction of an international community of excellence with global influence.

我们将抓牢经济建设这一中心工作和高质量发展这一首要任务，坚持稳中求进、以进促稳、先立后破，全面做好稳增长、促改革、调结构、防风险各项工作，推动区域经济持续回升、长期向好。

We will focus on the central task of economic construction and the primary task of high-quality development. We will adhere to the principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, promoting stability through progress, and establishing before breaking through.

We will comprehensively do a good job in stabilizing growth, promoting reform, adjusting structure, and preventing risks, and promote the sustained recovery and long-term improvement of the regional economy.

我们将深入践行人民城市理念，顺应群众的新期盼，关注群众的急难愁，想方设法筑牢底线民生、完善基础民生、发展品质民生，扎扎实实为群众办更多的实事，不断增进全区人民的共同福祉。

We will deeply practice the concept of people’s city, adapt to the new expectations of the people, pay attention to the urgent and difficult needs of the people, and try our best to secure the bottom line of people’s livelihoods, improve people’s livelihoods, and develop people’s livelihoods. We will solidly provide more public services for the people, and continuously enhance the common wellbeing of the people in the entire district.

最后，衷心祝愿每个市民幸福安康，每个家庭温馨和谐！衷心祝愿我们长宁各项事业蒸蒸日上、再创佳绩！

Last but not least, I sincerely wish every citizen happiness and health, and every family joy and all the best! I sincerely wish us great success in all our endeavors in Changning!
